Qualifications Include: 

·         Ability to manage the cost accounting function.

·         Support management with cost and inventory analysis.

·         Be responsible for inventory account reconciliation and monthly cycle count reporting and auditing.

·         Assist in calculating and setting cost standards.

 

Responsibilities include:

·         Develop standard costs for raw and finished goods items.

·         Support management with cost and inventory analysis.

·         Calculate and analyze labor and overhead rates.

·         Perform cost analysis on various initiatives. 

·         Identify improvements to costing methods and propose solutions. Reconcile the perpetual inventory to the general ledger.

·         Audit the cycle count program on a quarterly basis.

·         Lead the implementation of physical inventories.

·         Assist in capturing and analyzing all manufacturing variances.

·         Perform month-end close duties including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. 

 

Well qualified candidates will possess:

·         Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

·         CMA or progress toward this designation is highly preferred.

·         Good communication and organizational skills, and strong analytical abilities are necessary, as is the ability to supervise and work with others in a leadership and team environment.

·         The successful candidate will be ready for a leadership role.
