Manager--Global Player in a Small Town Setting

Our global
client is seeking an HR Manager for its three-shift manufacturing operation
located near Sioux City, Iowa.
You get the charm of small town living (population 10,000) in a community
that has attracted a young population that is both ethnically and
religiously diverse.
The community
boasts strong public and parochial school systems as well as higher
education opportunities. Your family will enjoy lots of local activities
and over 200 acres of public space. More importantly, this community has a
healthy economy that has grown at a rate four times greater than the state.
But it’s
not all about the town; these positions provide the opportunity to grow
professionally within a large talent management savvy organization. The
selected individuals may choose to continue their growth in this location
or may choose to take advantage of opportunities in other locations for
this client.
We’ve got

strategic sense, and are solid generalists who are ready for the next step
in their career. This position is responsible for all generalist
activities including recruiting, comp/benefits, training, compliance, and
employee relations.
In addition to
the previous requirements, the right candidate will possess the following:
Ÿ
Demonstrated up-to-date knowledge/experience
of HR and employment practices including EEO guidelines and procedures,
union avoidance
Ÿ
Minimum 7 plus years of progressive
Human Resources Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ÿ
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s
degree a plus
Ÿ
PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
Ÿ
Bilingual in Spanish; conversational Spanish
will be considered
Ÿ
Creativity to deliver great ways to attract
and retain top talent.
Ÿ
Strong leadership skills.
Ÿ
Change management, and organizational
development experience.
