What makes Flex Execs Management Solutions different from other contract consulting firms?
We were Chicago's first interim executive staffing company. Since 1990 we have become the recognized first choice for interim professional expertise. We stay on top of business, economic, and industry trends to remain competitive and a cut above our competition. We see the big picture, and have planned for long-term success. Think of us as the first, the best, and the only source you will need for any Human Resources or Finance/Accounting requirement. We also have HR expertise on staff at Flex Execs Management Solutions who know and understand most issues facing today's Human Resources professionals.

What if I want more than a day-to-day contractor?

We have consultants who can assess your needs, develop solutions, design new programs and help you with implementation.

How will you bill me?

Biweekly you will receive an itemized bill outlining the charges for all contract consultants working at your company. Payment is due 15 days from the date of the invoice.

What if I want to convert my contract consultant?

This happens frequently. You have had time to get to know the interim expert, seen his or her work, and believe there is a future for this professional with your company. Often when there are positive feelings on the part of the employer, the contract consultant feels the same. A provision for temp-to-hire along with the conversion fee is outlined in our agreement with you. Just let us know that you are ready to hire, and we will negotiate the terms of employment with the contract consultant.

Where do you find your interim professionals?

We look for our professionals, and happily, they keep looking to us. We have invested years in developing our database and building relationships with the best Human Resources and Finance/Accounting professionals. Our industry leadership keeps us in the media eye, and our public relations effort is ongoing. Contractors keep referring their colleagues and friends to Flex Execs Management Solutions, and we hold memberships in many Human Resources and Finance/Accounting organizations.

How long will it take you to find a Contract Consultant for my project?

Typically it takes us 48 hours from the time you place your requirements for us to find the perfect interim professional ready to work. Some clients have longer lead times and unusual and precise requirements. In such cases, we will take the time to ensure a proper placement, all in keeping, of course, with the demands of your business.

Can I interview your contractor before making a decision?

Of course you can, if you have time to do so. Clients often want to conduct phone or personal interviews with the candidates. This is good for the contractor and the employer, since both want a comfortable fit. If there is a situation where your need is time sensitive, then we will be happy to send you the appropriate candidate who can start immediately. Once you have worked with us, you will understand why our clients trust our judgment.

If your interim professionals are so great, why aren't they working now?

Chances are they are working or have just completed a project. They are committed, energetic, highly capable, and consummate professionals. Many like the flexibility of contract work, and the excitement of going into a company, trouble-shooting, implementing solutions, and then going onto the next assignment. Others are looking for work-life balance, and find the contract consultant lifestyle compatible with their personal goals. Quite a few are looking for just the right fit for the rest of their professional lives. They are willing to try out different industries and firms to find the perfect job.

How much experience do your contract consultants have?

We require our contractors to have a minimum of 8 years, with most having at least 15 years professional experience. We also expect them to possess a distinctive skill mix suitable for your specific project.

Do you check references?

We check with managers they have worked for over the past 7 years. Where a contractor has a long period of service with one employer, we ask for references from their various supervisors. We make sure to call and personally speak with each of these references to make sure that our contract consultants made the right and a lasting impression wherever they worked and has the skill level they profess.

How much will I have to pay for a contract consultant?

The billing rates depend on the project, skills and experience demanded, work conditions, and many other variables. There is a great value in having a contractor in place during peak periods, to replace a professional who has left or is on leave, or for special projects without the hassles of payroll or independent contractor issues.

Must we be responsible for taxes when using a contract consultant?

No! You never have to worry about directly paying your interim professional or their benefits or taxes. They complete bi-weekly time sheets authorized by you, which document their hours worked. We take it from there. You have no tax liability, no extra paperwork, and no hassle of any kind.

Our contract consultants will work on sensitive proprietary information. What is your assurance on confidentiality?

Our contract consultants are experienced professionals who know the meaning of discretion. Even on routine projects, it is understood that work performed for clients is confidential. It is not to be discussed outside the workplace. If you need security clearances (such as in the case of Department of Defense contractors), please provide as much notice as possible, as the background work on such investigations take some time to perform. Whatever your specific confidentiality requirements, please discuss them with us, and we will oblige.

What if our contract consultant doesn't work out?

We expect that you will be very happy with your contract consultant, and vice versa. In the rare event where you are not happy with our contractor, please call us to discuss options. If you are uncomfortable, chances are the interim professional is as well. We stand ready to make your experience with Flex Execs Management Solutions as efficient and pleasant as possible.

How do you verify a contract consultant's skills?

Before we add a contractor, we extensively interview them. We verify all their professional employment. We contact their employers and ask to speak with others in the company familiar with their work. We find out if they can do what they claim, and how they did in the past, before they are ever presented to clients.
